If I had to choose only one trend item to add to my wardrobe this summer, hands down it would be the kimono.

The last time I spoke about kimonos on the blog was last summer
when I confessed to not initially embracing the long kimono trend. This year, my present inclination to the long, trendy cover up is LOVE. Wear with everything and everywhere a kimono is the perfect layering piece for summer. Yet what I most love is the versatilit y. With the right styling, it can make a simple outfit with basic pieces look boho glam, sexy housewife, hobo posh, and even effortless chic. And the styles are so many...long, midi, short, fringed, silky, lace, see through, over-sized, and printed. I style my kimonos a top swimsuits, sleeveless jumpers & rompers, bustier tops, summer dresses, and for this look, jeans and a flowy tank.
I was able to snag a few up for the season; so I apologize in advance for the kimono overload you may will experience on the blog this summer. This was the last one of its kind from my loca l Charlo tte Russe + and it will be accompanying me on my upcoming weekend getaway to celebrate my birthday. If the weather permits (it's been raining nonstop), I may blog another kimono look in the near, near future so stay tuned.
